West Aust Uranium stocks running

West Aust Uranium stocks runningALZ has two proven Uranium prospects in West Australia, both, 100% owned approved by the Mines Department. Extracts from an article today in the Western Australian Newspaper Quote : Geoff Gallops resignation (as Premier of Western Australia) created a buying frenzy in uranium stocks linked to West Australia yesterday, with a change of leadership viewed by stock market punters as a potential catalyst to open mining of the States rich uranium deposits. Despite a surge in world uranium prices and renewed debate on nuclear power to combat the Greenhouse Effect, the former Premier repeatedly shrugged off pressure from the Federal Government, Fedreal Labour and some State backbenchers to re consider WA’s ban on Uranium Mining. While the acting Premier Eric Ripper hosed down speculation that Labour’s anti – uranium stance would dissolve under a new leader, investors rushed to buy shares in Uranex, Report, Energy Metals, Nova Energy, Deep Yellow, Scimitar Resources and Paladin Resources – all of which have interests in WA. Argonaut Securities senior dealer James McGlew said investors were rejoicing because one of the biggest obstacles in getting the uranium debate rolling had disappeared over night.“I don’t think anyone thinks uranium mining will happen in the next six weeks but this is clearly being viewed as positive,” he said.
