News re fleetCoughlc- I have either missed your posting on this one or you have been slacking. I use to be able to rely on you for any news pertaining to EFL. According to the article it looks quite promising the relationship that these two companies have. This fleet that they plan on providing the Olympics does not neccessarily mean the first fleet to be released!!!

Successful China Environment & Energy Conference

A wide range of participants from the public and private sectors of both Norway and China attended the China Environment & Energy conference in Langesund, Norway on 25 – 26th October.
China Environment & Energy Conference was the main event of the week’s programme, focusing on Norwegian – Chinese business opportunities and partnership within the Environment & Energy sector. A delegation from the Chinese embassy, government, organisations, and businesses met with Norwegian counterparts on several occasions during the week of the conference.
The conference
The conference was opened by Ms. Chen Naiqing, Chinese ambassador to Norway, Mr. Arne Malme, Governor of Telemark, and Ms. Gunn Marit Helgesen, Mayor of Telemark County Concil.
Together with the World Bank the environmental status of China was presented. In addition several Norwegian businesses shared their experiences of establishing and developing in the Chinese market.
Successful launch of the Zero Emission Smart Car Concept
A prototype of the Zero Emission Smart Car, which is a cooperation between Miljøbil Grenland and the Canadian company Electrovaya, was successfully launched on the first day of the conference.
The partners behind the Zero Emission Smart Car will continue the commercialisation of this concept, and are aiming to offer a fleet of these cars to the Beijing Olympic games 2008.
