RE: Cumberland Well Complete...News...

RE: Cumberland Well Complete...News...Howdy. Sorry--but can't tell you much. I used to roughneck/drill winters and it's been a while. And BIG gaps in my knowledge. We were going for oil, wanted a straight hole---to keep sucker rods from wearing out tubing on doglegs, etc. My buddy's horizontal deal--to visualize how they were trying to cut formations: Spread your fingers, with tips pointing down. Rotate wrist about 20 degrees. Ok--your fingers are the 'pay zones'--go ahead and drill thru them, mentally. Cut thru one or two--a tad--Didn't you? Now, drill down again--off to the side for this exercise. Turn horizontal and continue drilling, about even with first or second knuckle. Cut 'em all, 'eh? Sorry not much help--not familiar with things you mentioned--know just enuf to be dangerous!
