New Zone Brings Increased Production from Horizon's Whatley #1 Well Wednesday March 8, 9:15 am ET VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - March 8, 2006) - Horizon Industries Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:HRZ - News) is pleased to announce that workover and perforation of a new zone in the Whatley #1 well in San Patricio County, Texas has been completed. ADVERTISEMENT Following depletion of the lowermost zones, the Whatley #1 well was shut-in in preparation to commence operations to move up hole to perforate and test the next pay zone. This zone was perforated at 7,329' to 7,344' and successfully tested. The well was put to sales on March 2 at a rate of 350 MCF per day with flow tubing pressure (FTP) of 1,600 psi. The following morning the well was selling gas at the rate of 470 MCF per day with a FTP of 1,550 psi. The well was then choked back from 10/64 to 8/64. After 2 hours, FTP had increased to 1,750 psi. with gas selling at the rate of approximately 350 MCF per day with no fluids. Analysis of the downhole logs indicated a total of nine very good zones from 5,490' to 7,640' with some other potential zones that could be productive. Sidewall core analysis indicated good permeability and porosity confirming that production should be expected from these nine zones. The Company holds a 9% working interest in the Whatley Prospect. The Whatley prospect comprises 312 acres within the Spartan Field and two to four development wells are contemplated for the property.
