Perhaps a dumb question ...
Perhaps a dumb question ... In looking at the amazing drill results for hole 28, I was trying to figure out a weighted average g/t for the hole ... then i realised I was missing a variable.
How much volume of rock would weigh a ton?
Is there a general benchmark that geologists use as per ton volume. I am guessing that various rock formations would have different densities and therefore a ton will vary in size depending on the type of rock formation ...
sorry for the ramble, but short of going to geology school does anyone have a quasi answer?
