Two points. 1) I have not named all of the companies, only companies that have been involved for some time. Grouped in the field, or the "others" category, are names that you have mentioned such as Agnico, plus several other excellent gold miners. But FNX is not and I understand has not, been hot in the hunt. 2) LSG could bring the orebody into production and are currently advancing along that line. However, this is a humongous task. I hope they can put together a mutually satisfactory arrangement with a major, such as Goldcorp, where such a deal could be a win/win situation Previously, Placer Dome was well positioned and as the street usually commented about Placer, they usually "came in late and paid too much for their acquisitions" That will not happen with Barrick, although they desperately require ounces in the ground. Lets hope that a white knight does come riding into the picture and everybody goes home happier and wealthier.
