RE: Special Knowledge

RE: Special KnowledgeTo suggest that “they [brokers] would rather make themselves look good when commodities continue to go up” defies logic, since their copper price objectives are suggesting a collapse of monumental proportions. To the contrary, the only way you look good when commodity prices rise is, if , in fact, you forecasted or anticipated that advance in price. About a year ago I was pointing out the absurdity of broker forecasts of 1.20 copper in 2006. I don’t think anyone is going to congratulate the cowardly and timid souls who made those forecasts. I think just about everyone on this board is intelligent enough to ignore what brokers have to say. But that constitutes only a small segment of the investing public. To the masses, brokers act as some kind of gatekeeper. What passes for their version of the truth is very often what the public will believe.
