The drill will produce an undisturbed sample which will be used to determine the type and quality of sand and gravel products that can be produced. Levelton Consultants Ltd. will supervise the drilling and material testing providing a National Instrument 43-101-compliant independent report on the drilling. Drill hole locations were determined from the results of a seismic refraction geophysical survey. A total of 7.5 kilometres of seismic refraction has been completed on the southern portion of the Statlu Creek aggregate project. The seismic study results indicate the presence of a large basin in bedrock measuring 1,457 metres long and 1,216 metres wide with thickness of sand and gravel material ranging from 25 metres to 168 metres in thickness. The area study represents approximately one-sixth of the identified aggregate area within the project claim block. The block is large enough to initiate quality studies on the sand and gravel material. Once the quality of the sand and gravel material is established Mosquito plans to complete additional drilling and seismic work, produce a 43-101-compliant reserve for the project and commence a environmental impact study leading to a project feasibility study. A total of 15 samples were taken by Mosquito's qualified person, weighing between six kilograms to 15 kilograms were taken at sand and gravel exposures throughout the southern part of the Statlu Creek aggregate project. These sand and gravel areas are exposed at various elevations throughout the area. Samples were taken as continuous vertical profiles across the vertical range of the exposure. Each sample was weighed and then sieved to minus-50 mesh and passed through a spiral concentrator to produce a black sand concentrate. The black sand concentrate was then shipped to Acme Laboratories of Vancouver, B.C., for gold analysis using a gravimetric finish. Results indicate that the black sand is enriched in gold with values ranging from 85.23 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au) (2.49 ounces per ton Au) to 931.65 g/t Au (34.79 ounces per ton Au), table 1. The average of all samples 420.67 g/t Au (12.27 ounces per ton Au) of black sand. The amount of black sand recovered from the gravel varied from sample to sample, over all it would take 11,800 tonnes of gravel to produce one tonne of the black sand concentrate. This ratio is a lot higher that the 177 tonnes produced by the initial sample. This probably reflects an increase in black sand volume in certain areas of the stratigraphic section. The samples have confirmed that the black sand component in the matrix of the sand and gravel is enriched in gold over the area. Further work is required to determine a more accurate estimate of the volume of black sand that can be expected from the sand and gravel. Samples from the drilling will be analyzed to produce a black sand concentrates which will be analyzed for gold to determine the vertical distribution of gold in the sand and gravel. Indications are that the black sand is easily recovered using gravity concentrators and given the results the gold could prove a significant byproduct. Further studies involving larger volumes of sand and gravel are recommended.
