progress makes a mess

progress makes a messobscure--making progress anywhere, makes a mess. china's progress costs them yearly about 10,000 mini-revolts by mistreated farmers, dispossessed middle-class former property owners and the huge poor & broke classes tucked away in far-flung provinces. you just don't hear about chinese demonstrations & riots because china's version of the gestapo clamps down quickly and brutally. are you familiar with the organ-harvesting vans that they drive doomed political prisoners & humble falun gong practitioners away in? even yahoo and google have cowardlycravenlytraitorously aided the chinese govt in identifying and blocking websites/internet communications by normal people seeking democracy, freedom of speech, worship, press, and reimbursement for land seizures. beijing suffers from occasional massive SANDSTORMS because desertification from overdevelopment/environmental stress grows exponentially with the population. yes, india is a mess. but as balaton & the majors learn how to negotiate sensible win-win situations for all parties involved, including the poorest folk, we WILL get a mine and refinery that benefits ALL, including us, as best as can be done. an excellent example of "what's good for the community is good for us" might be: FMNJ.pk, whose mgt today is on the cusp of signing a major deal to develop the ancient huge Cerro Rico silver mine in grouchy bolivia, making it safer & more productive, and building community support systems that will cost a pittance in gringo money compared to the benefits to be gained...imho gltya & blessings, gotrupees
