A Theory about DeBeers' Lawsuit

A Theory about DeBeers' LawsuitWhen considering a takeover possibility, DeBeers has the most to benefit from swallowing Shore. With Shore taken out, they would have complete control over the Star kimberlite and the majority of the FALC. It would also be a step towards regaining their control over the diamond industry. If a takeover plan was materializing behind locked doors, what strategy would they likely use? Well, they would do anything possible to push down the price of Shore's shares in order to buy us off at as low a price as possible. And how would they suppress the share price? With tactics like nuisance lawsuits that would cause weak kneed shareholders to sell off. This is why I think that this issue will drag on as long as legally possible, and more tactics could be implemented in the future.
