The C$$ rallies by 38% in the meantime, cutting into profits even more. Canfor cuts costs to the bone. The good newes is that bug killed trees are beinbg given away by the Province. No one down south would want to import those logs as the beetle would infestate the US too. Nope, keep them local, cut em, dry em, and process the waste.
But housing in the U.S. is softening.
Pulp is weak.
So where does the future lie? IMO a modest level of profits. ($1 a year?) Whats is your guesstimate?
