Vulcan Minerals Inc. Retains Sayer Energy Advisors
St. John’s - Newfoundland - Vulcan Minerals Inc. (“the Company” TSX-V: VUL), announces that it has retained the services of Sayer Energy Advisors (Sayer) of Calgary, Alberta to assist the company in securing a joint venture partner for its ongoing Western Newfoundland exploration program. Sayer will provide details of the opportunity through its extensive distribution system as well as provide a “data room” for the company in Calgary. The Company will be available in Calgary during the week of May 15-19th, 2006 to provide confidential technical presentations to interested parties. A summary of the joint venture opportunity is available at www.sayeradvisors.com. The Company has made significant strides in the exploration of the Bay St. George basin in Western Newfoundland. The Company feels that it has accumulated a critical mass of positive exploration results, including the shallow Flat Bay oil discovery, to entice parties to participate in the exploration and development of its 236,000-acre land position. The Company’s prospects present high impact, large reserve potential in an onshore location eligible for Canadian Exploration Expenses. The Company is currently preparing for its upcoming 2006 drill program based on the completion of an initial review of recently acquired drilling and geophysical data. The results of that review will be forthcoming via new releases and an update to the Company’s homepage over the coming weeks.
