RE: I love this post...the big pictureOperations9 - SARS and Avian Flu are two different bugs. Don't count your chickens before hatch. I hope you are right that it may be more hype than fact. However, Don't forget how the hype of SARS was enough to kill the tourist industry in Toronto, dead in its tracks. Hotels were empty. Restaurant staff were laid off. Airplanes were half full. No conventions were being booked. Some cancelled. Americans played it up on the news and we were treated like we had the plague. Avian flu could stop the NA economy in its tracks, hype or not, and then where would the price of oil be?
