KFS looks like a bargain right now but I will likely let this correction run further before buying more. Tomorrow should tell us if the $20 support level holds.
In comparing KFS to NB I prefer KFS. KFS's earnings are mostly dependant on earnings from investments which should be stable with the potential for improvement going forward as interest rates rise.
NB has a relatively smaller investment portfolio and is more dependant on a continuing low combined ratio. Alternatively KFS's combined ratio is relatively higher and could offer plus for earnings should the combined ratio improve.
I am not optimistic about the U.S. $ as I said before.
