Global Warming

Global WarmingThe biggest problem facing mankind is not terrorism or any of the mundane things we read about in the papers. Its a problem that's clearly on page 16 or maybe page 23. Its all about global warming. I caught Al Gore on Charlie Rose' program last night and it doesn't look good. Our reliance on the carbon based economy is having an unimaginable, accelerated negative impact on our earth. He didn't mention that melting of the permafrost will release billions of lbs of additional co2 into the atmosphere without us having to do anything more. I dont' think it is overstating to say it looks terribly overwhelming. Its also crass and small of me to say that nuclear power and uranium will be a direct and immediate beneficiary, when civilization as we know it is at such a critical point. Do you have children?
