There is nothing special about those 42K shorts, they will be covered shortly - off the market and here is why: March 25, 2002 : 4 Insiders received stock options at .17c that are still valid and have never been excercised. To excercise them, you need money, if you are a little short on cash, you sell some shares short, cause you got the options to cover, you still make the difference between .17 and ~ .54 as a profit and got money to convert your options into shares. Nothing fancy about it, in one of the next short reports, you will see this postion as being covered...of course you need some volume to go along with this, otherwise there would not be a market to sell into...
