RE: Long Weekend Too Long
I don't know, if ARU shares have been manipulated, but I remember , during the last halt (news: 255 metres @ 12.55 g/t gold), the pre-opening bids were going as high as 27.99/share but ended up opening at what? 23.00/share or something like that.
I guess, for anyone to have manipulated the share price during the last news release, all they had to do was keep asking for less than what the market was bidding.
After a few manipuilations like that, the average share-holder sees the board and realizes the stock is going down and begins to panic and starts selling, thinking the drill results are not so good after all. When the desired effect is reached (joe investor wanting to dump his/her shares) the manipulator(s) can stop selling (dumping) their own shares into the market. Later, they can buy back those shares that they had dumped at 23.00/share for 16.00/share.
So , they actually make more money and are able to accumulate more shares at cheaper prices, than they would have otherwise.
I think share-price manipulation must be rampant in the stock-market. Only because it seems to be easy to accomplish and there is no way to prove that it's happening.
Maybe, I'm just a little paranoid too...but I have little faith in people's integrity when it comes to money matters...

What do you think?...
