Vulcan to drill West Coast AcreageToday's news clip from VOCM radio:
Vulcan Minerals Drilling on West Coast
July 7, 2006
Vulcan Minerals is moving ahead with a multi-million dollar program for oil and gas in the Bay St. George Basin in western Newfoundland. Vulcan Minerals will spend upwards of 2.5-million dollars this year drilling a couple of holes for oil and gas in the Bay St. George area in the coming months. President Patrick Laracy says the exploration program will also focus on collecting additional seismic data on some deeper targets they located last year with their geophysical survey. Laracy says they will look at a deep drilling program in 2007 depending on the availability of a drill rig. He pointed out all their drilling information so far indicate the probability there will be a major commercial discovery in the area, but it will require a continued exploration program.
