Grande Portage Resources Ltd. V.GPG

Alternate Symbol(s):  GPTRF

Grande Portage Resources Ltd. is a Canada-based mineral exploration company. The Company is focused on the Herbert gold discovery situated approximately 25 kilometers (km) north of Juneau, Alaska. The Company holds a 100% interest in the Herbert property. The Herbert Gold property system is open to length and depth and is host to at least six main composite vein-fault structures that contain ribbon structure quartz-sulfide veins. The Herbert Gold project is an exploration stage, partially drill-tested, high-grade, gold mineralized mesothermal quartz vein system in the historic Juneau Gold Belt of southeast Alaska. The project lies prominently within the 160 km long Juneau Gold Belt, which has produced over seven million ounces of gold. The project consists of 91 unpatented mining claims, located 25 km north of Juneau and to the south of Couer Alaska's profitable Kensington gold mine. The property covers six parallel vein structures exposed at the surface.

RE: NEWS

RE: NEWSVery true upsydaisy. I really don't see the point of these constant comparisons to Aurelian ! Enough already. This is a copper with potential gold credits play as far as I understand. If drilling eventually proves up the grades and tonnage I can see how we could start speculating about the possibility of companies like Inmet Mining or AUR Resources wanting to get involved at some point as a property like the Merry Widow would likely be a perfect fit for them. True, the grades from some of the historical work done on the property *VERY* interesting and I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of attention generated on this project as the numbers are released over the remainder of this year and next I still think we should just cool the "mindless pumping" until we actually see what comes out of the ground. Fair enough ? We all know that news is expected this week or next ( hopefully ) so I for one will just wait patiently to see what these guys come up with then and as the year goes on. This winter is really only just a few months away when hopefully the world settles down a bit and money starts to return to the market so I see little point in selling until then at the earliest. JMOFWIW.
