"Nicol field (70%). Drilling operations on the horizontal production well are advanced, with apparently good results in terms of net reservoir section. There are suggestions of some upside from the gross 14 mmbbl base case reserves, possibly up to 20 mmbbls (14mmbbl net). The incremental value would be of the order of US$100m to OIL – 28p per share. Operations should finish on this well within 10 days, to be followed by a brief flow test. Results should be announced early August."
