Production schedule
Production scheduleAurizon Mines Ltd. is ahead of schedule (Oct-Nov) on Casa Berardi and we should expect a new mine broadcast soon. ROB TV is covering the opening. The statement is sure to make headlines in Canada.
“CANADA’S NEWEST GOLD MINE – CASA BERARDI OPENS”
175,000 oz/yr - cash cost $250/oz.
A minimum of 75% appreciation in share valuation upwards to December 06 (US $4.36 - $4.84/share) is plausible. David Christie analyst from TD Waterhouse is likely to increase his stable of gold producers in the second half of 06. The evidence around the industry is Aurizon, Glencairn and possibly Century are the newcomers. This will add to their investor awareness.
As the price of gold continues to hold the $500 level - analysts all over the world will need to adjust the long term gold price in their valuations. At present the price used is $400/oz I look forward to this increasing to plus $500. This upgrade in the gold price assuredly will reflect upon the NAV valuations. And along with future cash flow/share (CFPS), asset-based methods are now the principal analytical tool used for gold mining stock valuation. Net asset value (NAV) is considered the most important and used valuation when analyzing mining companies. Most analysts agree on using 1.3 – 2.25 X NAV to determine fair value. A $500 gold price will increase valuations all across the board when it comes to mining companies. It will be interesting to witness the new batch of buyers appear when the gold mining companies valuations are adjusted upwards.
Most day traders could care less about this kind of analysis. However, investors with a 4 – 6 month schedule would be wise to get as many shares as they can during the slow summer season.
