Lots of stuff!

Lots of stuff!Greetings, A few things I have gathered of interest especially to the newer investors as well as comments regarding recent post. I read the NP hard copy, front to back this morning and there was no mention of WIN. I was also disappointed that they would not have a story after the important meeting last Thursday. Perhaps they have a hidden reason for delaying coverage. I would expect to see something soon. Regarding a deal needed fairly soon, I agree they need one & I suspect we will see one or more soon enough. Rumour has it we might see it on Monday. However I think they will come in time regardless, so we need to be patient. IMO the risk/reward remains very favourable. The following link is for a story from Monday. I don’t believe it was posted on SH or SI. I picked it up from WIN’s website under the second link. Lots of good reading there although many of the older articles are no longer available. https://www.ottawacitizen.com/business/991129/3218975.html https://www.wi-lan.com/news/articles.html Big congratulations are in order for Canadian Business magazine. I first discovered WIN through an article in late March in CB on companies building the internet & the associated investment opportunities. I was sitting in the Air Canada executive lounge in Toronto waiting for a business flight. I came across WIN again 2-3 weeks later in articles in both the FP & G & M talking about WIN being in play for a takeover. I quickly did my DD and jumped in. I checked and found these older articles are no longer available online although they are listed on WIN’s website. The September 24, 1999 copy of CB had a story called “Wild About Wireless” in which it featured its “party of five” Canadian investment opportunities. I just reviewed the article and did some calculations. Please sit down while you read this. The five included in order of performance since Sept 10 when it was printed, Certicom CIC:TSE, up 354%, Wi-LAN WIN:TSE, up 236%, Sierra Wireless SW:TSE, up 175%, Infowave IW:TSE, up 109% & a not too shabby last place Research in Motion RIM:TSE, up 89%. If you had invested in a basket of these with lets say $10,000 spread evenly, you would now have a basket worth approx. $29,260 for a return of 192% in 3 months. Annualized return of 768%. This is an admirable performance to say the least. Full congratulations to CB & author Andrew Wahl. They have certainly earned my respect. My point is that I believe there are good investment opportunities right in front of our eyes daily in the generally pretty good Canadian publications. The tough part is finding the diamonds in the rough. BTW I subscribe to CB but have no other ties to them. Lastly I have a suspicion that WIN probably caught the attention of the investment world on Thursday with their meeting. Just look at the attendees, a list of who’s who in the high tech world. I would also summize then that there are probably numerous brokerage houses at this moment who have an analyst assigned to research this story. I would anticipate that we would very likely see a round of initiated coverage and the associated reports. Possibly from some very big, well known houses. Spend a moment to think of the implications of this. We are not just talking Canada here. Can the NASDAQ listing be far off? Obviously more things still need to happen here but if and when they do, then consider the above points. Good luck & yes Cheers!!! :-)
