Isn't there a clause in the share-holder agreement, that states that each shareholder will be able to buy some more shares on the cheap before the big buy-out?
For example; If you hold 1000 shares, you may be able to buy an additional 1000 shares at a discount to the buy-out share/price.
Maybe, someone on this board with alot more understanding of these things than me, can elaborate on this clause.
Now, if this clause is indeed in effect, it is very strong incentive for someone to hold on tight to their shares right up until the buy-out from a major.
