OrderStocksoldier, this is an honest question, not a criticism etc. If you want to buy 3,500 shares of GOG at this general price level why would you take a chance of not buying them by refusing to pay, say, $0.42 instead of $0.40? You're only talking about $70 and 2 cents on the share price. The way I see it this is a purely speculative play at this point and you stand to see an exponential increase or decrease in the price depending on the drilling results. The fact that you are buying must mean you expect an increase so why take a chance of missing out to save $70? Just asking.....
