Is this right? The press release uses some nice words to not say anything that is meaningful.
For example the statement is made that "Copper extracted from solution and plated in August was 23% higher than copper extracted from solution and plated in July. The daily rate of copper extracted and plated to date in September is running 44% higher than the average rate in August, and 77% higher than the average rate in July, and is steadily increasing. "
On the face of it, that is good news, right? Well, go back to the previous news release of August 2nd where they state that copper production was 975,000 lb in June and 637,000 lbs in July. Therefore to have plated and harvested 23% higher copper than in July would have meant 779,000 lb. A nice number, but still almost 200,000 lb less than June and a very far cry from the 4.5 million pounds per month that is the normalized rate.
Am I missing something- or else why do they make obtuse references to production when they can state the actual number of lbs that are being harvested? One only puts these nebulous information pieces together either if they are afraid of what the numbers say or to not state the actual numbers?
thoughts appreciated, but I have communicated to the company on past releases where the information was less than stellarly clear.
