Cott's revivalOil, Aluminium, etc.... drop will sharply help Cott's bottom line. Aluminium is (like other base metals) going to fall probably 20%+ next year. We shall see oil at 20-40$ range IMO...closer to 40$ imo.
Also, forget that nonsense about writeoffs. This company is allready turning around, just 2 months after Brent was named CEO. 3 upgrades just in the last month or so.
With CEO, CFO buying close to 3 million $ worth of stock at about 15$ average, I see tremendous upside from here.
Make no mistake. Brent is an excellent achiever. I have seen him in action at INBEV and wow!!! He is brilliant and really knows his company. He participated in TRIPLING INBEV stock price within 3-4 years! (https://www.inbev.com/investors/4__7__1__stockquote.cfm)
Anyway, like Brent said, Cott's fundamentals are excellent. No doubt about that. The problem is simple: Mr. Sheppard. Looking at the Cott share price, he was nominated CEO in July 2003, within 8 months, the REALLLLLYYY stupid decisions of his, hamered the company like a rock. If you look at how bad he was, just go and read the Cott newsrelease back then, you will see within a few months that Mr. Sheppard (Cott ex-ceo) was nominated, he lost about 3-4 top management people. That tells it all.
Anyway, with sales increasing of late, 1.8-2$ billion sales, with a market cap of 1.2 billion$, with positive earnings even if Mr. Sheppard really took all the bad decisions, well, can you only imagine the upside from here.
I predict within 3 years, you will have a 60-70+ US Stock price. Time will tell, but from past history, whenever we had a recession, this stock balsted away. People tend to save more and go for less expensive brands (food, clothing, cars, etc..).
Since market is 6 months minimum in anticipating results, I predict now is the time to get in since comes Q4, Brent will posts his earnings estimates, sales guidance, etc...for the next 2 years or so. And he will most likely never miss a single earning estimate judging from his past.
Cost savings are HUGE. Also, don't forget, Brent wants to be number 1. THE best beverage company (non-alc) in the World. So, lot's of work ahead.
