RE: Down!!!!!Stora Enso is starting up because they are in a different business (twice as much SCA being produced as newsprint by weight on an 11m wide machine running FAST) and they invest in value added projects even when the market is down. When any market lift occurs they are making profit which they then reinvest into the operation.
Also note the wage concessions and early retirement packages for over 50 people as well as flexible work strategies agreed to by a union which wanted to keep their jobs and Port Hawkesbury as a thriving town and you see the difference. The union made the right choice here and they are still working... good to see that some sanity still exists in some...
