Azure Dynamics Corp AZDDQ

Azure Dynamics Corporation (Azure) is engaged in the development and sale of electric vehicle (EV) and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) systems and components. HEV systems include an electric motor, an energy storage system (batteries or ultracapacitors), and an additional power source, such as an internal combustion engine/generator. An EV does not include the additional power source and only includes an electric motor and an energy storage system. It has four wholly owned subsidiaries: Azure Dynamics Inc., Azure Dynamics Incorporated, Azure Dynamics Corporation of America and Azure Dynamics Limited. Azure has developed electric and hybrid electric drive technologies for the light to heavy duty commercial vehicle category (the Technology). Azure has developed three primary product groups, which include full hybrid electric; mild hybrid electric; and pure electric solutions. Target markets include hybrid electric delivery vans and shuttle buses, as well as electric drive applications.

Somewhat disappointing

Somewhat disappointingAlthough I am happy that AZD has, at least temporarily, come out of it's funk, I thought the trading would be heavier on the TSX. On the surface this is very good news, but again, in my estimation, they have dropped the ball in an investor marketing game. To make the impact clear they needed to have a joint news release with Ford. As it is, it appears more like the little brother being all hyped up about going to his first ball game with his big brother. Unfortunately big brother has been to numerous ball games so not so excited. Ford also could have benefited from a little good PR considering both they and GM are losing market share faster then Paris Hilton loses her undies. I guess I can't be too excited when the share price on what should be extraordinarily good news gets me to barely the break even point. Remember, this stock hit $1.60 plus less than a year ago when there was not all this type of news in the air, only lots of speculation on test results and hopeful sales.
