Canoe EIT Income Fund (the Fund) is a Canada-based closed-end investment trust. The investment objectives of Fund are to maximize monthly distributions relative to risk and maximize net asset value, while maintaining and expanding a diversified investment portfolio, primarily through acquiring, investing, holding, transferring, disposing of or otherwise dealing with or in equity and debt securities of corporations, partnerships, or other issuers and such other investments as the manager may determine in its sole discretion from time to time. RE: trading at 6.78; Nav at $7.70This fund functions in this one aspect similar to a mutual fund. In no other way are they more similar then in the fact that as rights offerings are given more money is given the chance to enter the market. As more money enters the fund invests into its chosen portfolio and issues more of its EIT shares to the purchaser. Even thought their are more EIT shares outstanding, they have also increased their NAV by adding to their holdings. They arn't really diluting the shares in the sence that most people think, other then that sometimes the rights offerings are given at a bit of a discount. Ticker
