Oil and gas developer FX Energy Inc (Nasdaq: FXEN) said on 10 October that drilling has started on the Winna Gora well in the company's Fences II project area in western Poland.
The well is planned to test a Rotliegend sandstone structure with estimated gas potential of 20 to 50 bcf at a depth of approximately 3,650 metres. The well is operated by the Polish Oil and Gas Company.
FX Energy owns a 49% interest in the well, with the remaining 51% held by Polish Oil and Gas Company.
