RE: CQV UpdateCQV up 23.5% today after news on Alberta. They have a 15% interest in Alberta, Gulf has a 35% interest in this prospect.
St. John’s, NL: Canadian Imperial Venture Corp. (“CIVC” / the “Company”) is pleased to announce that the first of two wells, mentioned in a June 13, 2006 release, has now been drilled, logged and cased. The log suite is indicating a 20-meter prospective zone with resistivities between 40-60 ohm–m and neutron readings showing porosity around 27-30%. Further evaluation of the well is ongoing and it is anticipated that the well will be production tested when a rig is mobilized to drill the second of the two planned wells.
