RE: Charity caseJake, your "greed is pathetic" comment seems a little nasty, don't you think?
My comment on CHOICE's latest news was somewhat tongue-in-cheek. I did find the somewhat flowery language in their press release somewhat suspect, as I don't know why deep-pocketed philanthropists owning CZE.v will really do much to help the stock. The comments about their needing to create a more positive image in light of environmental concerns at Pincher Creek reminds me of BP selling goodness in TV commercials while ignoring environmental laws.
My opinion on charitable contributions is that it's best for the individual to decide what contributions to make and to what cause, whereas their PR on issuing $2million in new stock was put forth as being OK because they were issuing stock to upstanding respectful philanthropists.
It is impossible to tell the real reasons for the issue of new stock, though they want you to think they are just charitable. Perhaps it could simply be that they needed some cash in this time of low natty prices and they didn't want to highlight their coffers are running a bit low.
Good luck to all CZE.v shareholders.
