RE: ACN and THY .............BARBAS
Since a Ha is only 2.47 acres the three purchases of 256 Ha only amount to 1897 acres. Not big size wise but may be location wise.
50% of 100,000 acres for 50,000 net acres is significant.
Of the 6 wells ACN has drilled we do know that ACN has a partner in all the wells. The partner has a 65% A.P.O. position. I have to think that the partner is THY since ACN was spun out from THY with this sort of partnership in mind. THY was for sure the partner in the 1st well and had 65% A.P.O.
I bought a position in THY thinking that if I waited for an announcement from THY it could well be too late. They probably won't announce until they give their Q3 results on Nov. 15th.
ACN's Q3 will be released on Nov. 7th I believe. This could clarify some things.
I don't think there is much downside on THY's current unit price and a favourable report on Sylvan Lake could boost the price and also ensure the distribution of almost 20%.
Some substantial buyers have shown up on THY recently. Maybe they figure the same thing.
