RE: The Fox...A very natural question. The only sensible reason I have heard is that metal prices were low and Teck wanted to get rid of some of their deposits. They were not looking to develop it themselves anytime soon.
Shaft creek is just one out of many examples where a junior has bought a nice deposit for a low price. Look at Novagold for example. Clearly majors sell deposits that later turn out to be very profitable.It would be wrong to conclude that a deposit is bad because a major sold it cheaply.
