Is a Take-over unstoppable? If you read some of my older posts, I said Hatim and Michel Fattouche (along with a third prominant Shareholder who is on the Wi-Lan board) control over 40% of Wi-Lan's shares... So a forced hostile take-over would be almost impossible... These three individuals have made a PACT that none will sell his shares for anything LESS THAN $400...
Now, that was around the time of Cell-loc's AGM... If in the meantime they have increased their target price, I wouldn't know it... but it is possible.
The bottom line is, you shouldn't be surprised that insiders have not sold any shares... furthermore, CISCO must have really been p*ssed off when they realized they couldn't steal Wi-Lan for less than $400 a share! No wonder!
Yes, I think Michel and Hatim would sell out if someone pays them $400..., but if no one does make such an offer, they are confidant that eventually, sooner rather than later, Wi-lan will be trading around $400 a share just like JDS, QCOM, and others... except, I think Wi-lan has a much better technology and better potential.
So this is inevitable guys... "Stay tuned..", and "fasten your seatbelts..." (Words recently used by Hatim...)
PS. And if/when WIN hits $400 and Hatim and Michel do cash out zillions of $$$$... What would they do with their money? Well, according to Michel, "CLQ is their baby..." and babies usually inherit the $$$... That's why it is firmly believed by certain well connected people that CLQ's future would be even brighter than WIN... simply because CLQ as a SERVICE company... sharing in the $60 billion annual global market of locating everything will become a huge cash machine.
IT'S A BEAUTIFUL THING, THIS WI-LAN!!!!
Have a wonderful Holiday Season everyone... and of course let's not forget... RAMADAN KARIM HATIM.
