RE: OYM: BUY - IF To the participants of this BULLBOARD: What bothers me is the fact that you have people who tell you that this strategy is better than that strategy - I don't think there is a strategy for investing in the stock market that is better than another, it depends very much on you as the individual. I will give you an extreme case - I came across somebody last year who only trades in RIO TINTO(major mining company), and nothing else. Just RIO TINTO on the Australian Stock Exchange? RIO TINTO all by itself - that's what he knows best. He knows that company back to front... So he knows pretty well how the market is going to react - the good news, the bad news - he is perfectly happy with RIO TINTO. A lot of people will tell you that he can't be a serious investor, and maybe that's right - but the point is it works for him. So short or long, means absolutely nothing to him, and he's got all his eggs in RIO TINTO basket. [NOTE:I am extra long in companies of countries that underwent reunification ex. Vietnam, Germany and my next target could be Korea]
