RE: stock options

RE: stock optionsBy buying back stocks, they are basically purchasing production for less than what they can do with the drill bit. Obviously the BOD feels TLM is undervalued - their capital is better spent purchasing their own production on the market than by acquiring at the inflated A&D prices most are requesting or than what their forecasted F&D costs show. If there are some good prospects to be put on stream, they will probably see a better return than if they were to sink it into "high risk" opportunities. Are they flush with cash? If so, why throw it away if a sure thing is on the TSX? Isn't insider buying viewed as a good thing for the average investor? As for personnel retention, few Alberta-based oil companies are having an easy time of keeping people - TLM is no different. Perhaps with the current news blast delivered by the Tories, more will have the desire to stay put for a while. Option plans are a double edged sword - sure, people will stick it out until vesting, but what holds them back if/when they cash out?
