RE: QEC gas in Lowlands!

RE: QEC gas in Lowlands! If these guys are staging a show in Oslo, it is fairly obvious that they aren't there just for the sake of some good publicity ! My assumption is that that are after some sweet North Sea deal with some Norweigan corporation ! (The Norweigans detain most of the north sea oil reserves... Although I still remember casually reading several years ago in a Guiness Book of world records that the biggest north sea oil field (possibly world wide) was detained by the Netherlands (which considering the state of availability of oil world wide did not develop the resource for extraction...) By the way, with regards the north american conrinental shelf (where the Hibernia field is) and the North sea field, I still remember reading in mygeography book that the Apalachian mountains extend towards Europe (my memory probably faulters ..but anyways...). Thus if mountains of the same origin ended up in two places because of plate techtonics, it is not far fetched to assume that both fields are of same origin... (although again I'm working on memory and if I'm not mistaken, the continental shifting occured prior to the deposition of such sedimentation...) . By the way , with regards to my previous comments; it is obvious that the notion of time predominates in the sense that it is futile to drill for large deposits of hydrocarbons in areas which just aren't of the right geological age... If I'd be more knowledgeable once dwelling on geology, I'd take the time to discuss the subject matter in depth without making the mistakes that uccur because of inexperience namely stating that sedimentairy deposition can be overlapped with basalt which is best associated with continental shifting being observed at the point of plate dislocation on ocean floors that are probably too deep to hold the type of sedimentation associated with oil... Once I improve with the proper use of the terminology ,I'll be back to discuss the matter ! In the meanwhile,; GOOD LUCK !
