What they've done is instill enough fear in people now that everyone expects gold and silver to be hit every time the US market opens. Everyone now has this in the back of their mind if they are holding long positions in gold, silver, or gold/silver companies. We've all seen that they have the power to push it down whenever the mood strikes them, with zero repurcussions from the so-called regulators.
If they hold gold or silver and have made a bit of a profit, they're all thinking now that they should at least sell half of it before the bullies gang up on the market again. Same thing with gold/silver company shareholders. I've been investing in stocks for a long time but only got into the PM sector in the last 5 years. I've never experienced the kind of blatant manipulation as I have in the PM markets. Yes, there was a bit of manipulation before in the regular markets, but nothing like this.
And the regulators see nothing, hear nothing...
