RE: V.HUD

RE: V.HUDActually if you compare the sub sample to SNO's drill cores caustic results you will see that there are as many 2MM stones in SNO's sample as HUD's sample... and SNO's sample is lighter weight. Clearly these small samples do not give a representive sample, and that is why SNO is doing a 500 tone bulk sample. From HUD: The three largest stones from the caustic results measured 2.59 by 2.19 by 0.72 millimetre; 1.94 by 1.82 by 1.45 millimetres; and 1.37 by 1.11 by 0.80 millimetre. They were described as an off-white, transparent macle, twinned with 85-per-cent preservation; an off-white translucent fragment with crystal faces, graphite inclusions and minor cleavages with 75-per-cent preservation; and a white, translucent, dodecahedral, twinned surface fragment, graphite inclusions with 75-per-cent preservation, respectively. Of the 12 larger stones, which were described by SGS Mineral Services, nine are white and three are off-white. The average preservation is estimated at 83 per cent. From SNO: One intact microdiamond was recovered from the sample Snow-51, lower intercept. This stone was a yellow octahedroid. Three microdiamonds were recovered from the sample Snow-51, upper sill intercept. These three microdiamonds were fragments. A total of 40 diamonds were recovered from the sample Snow-47, lower sill intercept. All of these diamonds are classified as fragments and of these 40 diamonds, four are classified as macrodiamonds. It should be noted, however, that of the 40 diamonds recovered, 14 have a single dimension of greater than 0.5 millimetre. The morphology for all stones recovered was irregular except for sample Snow-5, lower intercept stone No. 1 which was octahedroid. One of the diamonds recovered from this sample has a single dimension of 2.40 millimetres and a weight of 0.0205 carat. If the microdiamond recovery results for the sample Snow-47 lower intercept are normalized to a 100-kilogram sample size, then the Snow-47 lower intercept would have a diamond count of 160 per 100 kilograms. The sample from Snow-47, lower sill intercept, weighed 24.0 kilograms -- the sample from Snow-51, upper sill Snow-51 weighed 11.46 kilograms; and the sample from Snow-51, lower sill intercept intercept weighed 3.62 kilograms SUMMARY OF AUG. 8, 2006, CAUSTIC FUSION RESULTS Sample Weight Stone in Octacarat No. X mm Y mm Z mm carats weights S-47-LOW 1 2.40 1.30 0.60 0.0205 S-47-LOW 2 2.10 1.20 0.40 0.008 S-47-LOW 3 1.20 1.00 0.50 0.0075 /// Snowfield is very encouraged that these caustic fusion results confirm previous results and clearly demonstrate the diamondiferous nature of the Mud Lake kimberlite body and that a significant number of macrodiamonds have been recovered. The distribution of diamonds within the Mud Lake kimberlite is still not properly understood and these results further confirm the company's view that only a bulk sample from the Mud Lake kimberlite will establish whether or not the body is economic, which bulk sample is currently being readied for extraction.
