the StarKen's age is in the mid to late 40's but knowing him, he will do what is best for the shareholders in general, not just himself.
On another note, many seem disappointed with the NR. I see it as Shore making the decision to move ahead with the Star and complete the 43 101 Resource and subsequent Reserve and bankable as quickly as possible. That tells me that they are separating the two, Orion North and the Star. Originally we understood that they were going to try and catch Orion up to the Star. That is now NOT the case. It seems to me that they want to define the Star precisely so that it can be valued, then sold off or part sold off. It appears to me that they have to 'unitize' the whole area play so that Shore and Newmont each have the same %, for example Newmont gives up part of the JV to say 30% from 40% and Newmont then buys in to the Star for 30%. They would end up with a 70/30 or 65/35 split. Shore can then sell off a % to someone else and negotiate a carried interest through to the mine start-up. As an example, how could it work if Shore sold 30% of the Star to Rio. Newmont would own 40% of Orion, 9.9% of Shore, so 9.9% of the Star; Shore would own 60% of Orion 40% of Star, adjusted for 9.9%, but Shore gets a carried interest, Rio owns ???? blah blah - how could that possibly work? However if it is 65/35 then Shore can sell part of it's position. My thoughts only, so don't be too critical - I am terribly sensitive.
Quite frankly, I liked the NR as it defines and re-enforces the time parameters, areas of concentration and separates the Star from Orion.
The diamond counts and grades will follow shortly.
