Wealth Minerals discovers more uranium in Salta - Argentina

Canadian miner Wealth Minerals (TSX-V: WML) has encountered new signs of uranium on its Diamante-Los Patos property in Argentina\'s Salta province.
The discovery follows the company\'s June 2006 identification of a deposit on the property, located on Salta\'s high plains.
The new zones measure nearly 11 sq km over four areas - Diamante, Alfredo, Sudoeste and Los Patos - which contain anomalous uranium mineralization, the Salta mining ministry reported.
Some 788 rock samples have been analyzed to date, some of which show values of up to 40kg/t of uranium oxide, the report said.
"The mineralization, as we have found it, spreads out in every direction - even at depth," company president and CEO Henk van Alphen was quoted as saying.
Within the areas containing anomalous values, there are several sub-zones that have prompted the company to increase its work program considerably in order to determine which areas are structurally and geologically favorable, the report said.
The uranium at this deposit is contained within volcanic rocks that make up part of the Galán hill caldera, one of the world\'s largest volcanic calderas, the report said.
