Perhaps these new claims have something to do with Rainy River's new gold discovery in the region. I do believe the current President of Rainy River was the president of Tri-Gold awhile back. The things that make you go hmmm!!! Aggressive exploration plans scheduled for Kenora region Rainy River Resources Ltd. has "impressive" gold results from a drill hole on their ODM Zone in northwestern Ontario. In results reported Nov. 3, one drill hole intersected an interval width of 22.6 metres grading 17.02 grams per tonne gold, 100 metres below surface. A previous drill hole in September yielded results of 5.42 g/t gold over 43 metres. The ODM Zone lies within a three-kilometre long gold trend that also hosts their 17 Zone, Beaver Pond and West Zones. These areas have had no history of exploration drilling. Their Rainy River project is located in Richardson Township, 80 kilometres south of Kenora. The company plans to aggressively explored with three drill rigs.
