Boeing, Hughes, and UBS

Boeing, Hughes, and UBSEvening, all. Like all of you, I'm relieved that the UBS rocket seems to have achieved ignition. I am, however, puzzled about why. A number of posters today have attributed the sudden flurry of activity to the rumoured sale of Hughes' satellite manufacturing division to Boeing. I'm at a loss to understand why this rumour would cause a run for UBS. As far as I can tell, UBS is not in the satellite payload business, nor do any of its products appear to be engineered to be payload subsystems. Their SSPAs, TWTAs, waveguides, etc... are all engineered for terrestrial use. So how are some of you jumping to the conclusion that the sale of a satellite manfacturing division will have an impact on our company? Is UBS planning to start manufacturing satellite payloads or components thereof? It would be great if somebody could substantiate the opinions that UBS is somehow connected to the Hughes/Boeing rumour. Is it that the market doesn't understand the technology? I think something else is in the works. The question is what.
