RE: End of the world.....

RE: End of the world.....My take on the current market situation/volatility is as follows. Supply/demand fundamentals are favorable across the board for natural resources, whether base metals, precious metals or oil and gas. However, the market is very fical these days, and panic buying and selling creates a lot of volatility. When the Shanghai market corrected 10% in a day, the rest of the global markets sold off in panick, but soon rebounded once the dust settled. There is much debate as to the cause of the Shanghai market correction. What some analysts and media report should be taken with a grain of salt. I believe there eventually will surface the real reason why the market in Shanghai sold off. The smart money already knows why, and it's us retailers that are the last to know. In terms of the broader market correction we are seeing now, there is a lot of froth built up in the Dow 30 IMHO. The smart money is heading for the exits, as this could just be the beginning of a major correction. Markets tend to get into over bought and over sold conditions. When the broader market heads upward in earnest, even the dogs get carried higher. The same holds true when the general market corrects....the strong stocks with solid fundamentals will sell off some as well, but not as bad as the stocks that were overvalued. The term, throwing the baby out with the bath water is a good analogy. I'm also holding a substantial position in AUN, and strongly believe the company is well managed and the stock an undervalued situation. I suspect if this correction of the broader markets continues, AUN could very well go to 1.20 or lower. I will welcome this, since I believe this would be a very short term situation, and would allow me to pick up more shares. Keep in mind this Friday is Triple Witching. That could be a good time to buy AUN if it gets hit. All IMHO only. goldwill
