US Markets UP UP UPNEW YORK, March 14 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks opened higher on Wednesday, bouncing back after the prior session's sell-off, as investors snapped up beaten-down financial shares.
Rising crude oil prices also lent support as they drove shares of energy companies such as Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM.N: Quote, Profile , Research) higher.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was up 21.07 points, or 0.17 percent, at 12,097.03. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was up 4.37 points, or 0.32 percent, at 1,382.32. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was up 6.27 points, or 0.27 percent, at 2,356.84.
