RE: Wood power

RE: Wood powerThere are complicating factors. The EPA with BC Hydro is at an agreed upon price for an agreed upon term. Moving to 100% wood changes the cost side of the equation for CEC. Moving to a fuel supply model that's reliant on beetle kill sets out a scenario that may be good for less than ten years. Where will the fuel come from after that? And any change in fuel supply surely must push at the EPA, forcing CEC to go back to BC Hydro and the BC Utilities Commission pleading force majeure. I'm not saying CEC can't pull a rabbit out of the hat. But it sure doesn't seem likely at this point.
