Here`s what stockwatch had to say!!! Global Minerals ships concentrate from Front Range 2007-03-28 19:27 ET - News Release Mr. George Heard reports GLOBAL MINERALS LTD.: FRONT RANGE PROJECT UPDATE Global Minerals Ltd. shipped the first loads of gold-silver flotation concentrate to the Met Mex smelter in Torreon, Mexico, during the quarter. Forty tons of concentrate produced from development ore were shipped and the net proceeds of the sale are expected to be in excess of $100,000 (U.S.). This represents the first significant gold and silver production from the Gold Hill district in over 50 years. Mill production appears to be sustainable at 50 tons per day. Unfortunately a bearing failure on the primary crusher caused a one-month outage during the quarter. Repairs are under way and production is expected to resume by month end. On the mining side, five stopes are available for production with a sixth stope under construction. New development continued on the Freiburg drift where the results from recent diamond drilling indicate potential for multiounce stope material. Since the start of production the operation has won several awards including the MSHA Sentinels of Safety Award (Mine & Mill), the CMA Pollution Prevention Program Award and the Colorado DRMS Hardrock Reclamation Award. In addition to gold production starting, both surface and underground (long- and short-range) drill programs are planned to guide drift and stope development. Approximately 8,000 feet of surface drilling and an additional 5,000 feet of underground drilling are scheduled. Senior management would like to congratulate the management and staff of the mine and mill for their hard and patient work in creating a safe, award-winning operation.
