RE: Climate Change DebateThere are a couple of "facts" (so much as I know) that create doubt.
1) From 1950-1975 global temperatures were trending down. Two sources cited said this temperature data came from NASA. And there were discussions in the 1970's about global freezing. This is actually well documented. Only asking the question: Why would temperatures fall during this period when CO2 was just acclerating?
2) Back about 300 years ago (or so) global temperatures were way warmer than they are now. In England it was so warm that they grew grapes. there is a section of London with street names of Graveine Lane, etc. Why did the Earth get so warm back then? More importantly, with such abnormally normal temperature high up in the U.K. people coped - civilivation didn't disappear.
3) Going another 200 years before that time (or so) was the "Little Ice Age" when the Thames River in London froze (there is artwork dating back then that shows people skating on the Thames). Today, the Thames never frezzes over.
I do not bring up these "facts" to fully dispute man-made global warming. I merely bring it up as these are facts that should be discussed. I dispute that there is 100% absolute proof that global warming is occuring via man-made events. It could be. And heck, I'm not a scientist, it probably is. But I cannot believe that it is absolutely proven beyond any doubt. For sure, there are scientists and experts that will dispute it and many that even believe will not say that are absolutely right with zero probability of anything else.
