RE: W. Purcell''''s incompetence...Will Purcell comment/discussion paper at Stockwatch re:SGF
“A 10-carat diamond would not be unrealistic at all for Shore's Star pipe, which has a lower grade than Dianor is averaging at Leadbetter. Several of its 240-ish tonne tests did yield a 10-carat stone, and three managed 20-carat diamonds. No, the one-carat diamonds in the latest Leadbetter samples are *not* flukes. The size distribution curve suggested they would occur at about the rate they are appearing.”
Will fails to mention, that the star pipe did not turn up > 1 carat stones until commencement of the 25,000 dry tonne bulk sampling, referred to by Will as the several 240 tonne tests. The drilling yielded no 1 carat stones… the mini bulk RC drill yielded no 1 carat stones…and the final grade from this extra large bulk test is 0.14 c/t. Below is excerpts from SGF archives. No fear DOR investors we’ll get to this large bulk stage too and have better results already shown by our mini’s!!!
“Oct, 10 2001 STAR KIMBERLITE PROJECT- STAR 020 YIELDS ESTIMATED 61.0 CARATS PER 100 TONNES OVER 311.6 METRES. STAR 023 YIELDS ESTIMATED 64.1 CARATS PER 100 TONNES OVER 118.1 METRES” A total of 3,422 kgs of split core have now been analysed from 20 NQ holes (47mm diameter) and 1 PQ hole (85mm diameter) that were drilled during 2000 and early 2001 resulting in the recovery of 782 diamonds, including 197 macros, weighing 1.244 carats for an average grade of 36.3 cts/100t.

Oct, 15 2001 STAR KIMBERLITE PROJECT- LARGER SAMPLE TO BE TAKEN PRIOR TO BULK SAMPLE
Jonathan Challis, President, is pleased to report that following the completion of the NQ and PQ sized diamond drill program and in preparation for the extraction of a major bulk sample from the Star kimberlite, it has been decided to recover a sample of at least 100 tonnes of kimberlite by the use of a large diameter, reverse circulation drill.
May 21, 2002 SHORE GOLD ANNOUNCES POSITIVE DIAMOND RECOVERY RESULTS FROM STAR 031RC
Jonathan Challis, President, is pleased to report that very positive results have been received from the processing of the 82.7 tonnes of recovered sample from Star 031RC that was sent to Lakefield Research Limited in Ontario and to DeBeers Geological Sample Processing Services (GSPS) laboratory in South Africa. A total of 184 macro diamonds were recovered that did not pass through either a 1.18 mm square mesh sieve at Lakefield or a DeBeers standard Class 1 diamond sieve (equivalent to approximately 1.1 mm square mesh), with a total weight of 8.52 carats. The two largest stones recovered (both of which are fragments) weighed 0.64 carats and 0.40 carats respectively
NOTE: no > 1 carat diamonds from mini bulk sample
December 4, 2002 SHORE GOLD ANNOUNCES DETAILS OF THE BULK SAMPLING PROGRAM FOR THE STAR KIMBERLITE PROJECT
Jonathan Challis, President, is delighted to report that the necessary approvals have now been received to enable the start of mobilization of equipment required for the bulk sample program. This program is designed to recover a parcel of at least 3,000 carats of diamonds to enable an accurate valuation of the stones to be determined. The program involves the sinking of a 4.5 metre diameter vertical shaft and the drifting in kimberlite to recover up to 25,000 tonnes of kimberlite.

INITIAL DIAMOND RECOVERIES: 344 CARAT PARCEL
George H. Read, P. Geo., Senior Vice President Exploration, is pleased to announce the initial diamond recoveries for the first six sample batches processed from the Star Kimberlite. These are the initial results of some 80 to 100 kimberlite batches that will be processed as part of the bulk sampling program on the Star Diamond Project, the aim of which is to recover a parcel of some 3,000 carats for valuation purposes. A total of 3,355 commercial sized diamonds (greater than 1.18 millimetre square mesh screen), collectively weighing 338 carats, has been recovered from the treatment of 4,913 dry tonnes of kimberlite. Thirty-three diamonds greater than one carat have been recovered and the three largest stones are: 3.50, 3.31 and 3.19 carats, respectively. In addition, 352 diamonds (6 carats) were recovered down to 0.85 millimetre square mesh. The colour of over 80 percent of these diamonds has been classified as white, with a further 12 percent classified as off-white.

BULK SAMPLE MINING COMPLETED: 25,000 TONNES ON SURFACE
George H. Read, P. Geo., Senior Vice President Exploration, is pleased to announce that mining of the kimberlite bulk sample on the Star Diamond Project has been completed. Reconciliation of all mined rock on surface confirms that 25,000 dry tonnes of kimberlite have been mined and hauled to surface. Shore geologists are confident that the processed kimberlite will produce a diamond parcel in excess of 3,000 carats.

DIAMOND RECOVERIES TO DATE EXCEED 3,000 CARATS
The diamond recoveries to date total 3,092.25 carats from 21,994.62 dry tonnes processed.
